PayPal¶
Undoubtedly, PayPal s a global leader when it comes to secure payment methods. Magento natively provides many payment methods to choose from, three of which are from PayPal. Each Paypal method has a different purpose of serving. Read this passage to find out how they differ from each other.
PayPal provides three Magento 2 Payment Methods as listed:

PayPal All-in-One Payment Solutions

PayPal Payment Gateways

PayPal Express Checkout
Let’s see how they differ.
To use any of the PayPal payment methods to your store, make sure to have a PayPal business account or/and a PayPal payflow account. Find more details in the description of each solution of PayPal in the Magento 2.4 user guide.
Magento 2 PayPal payment options¶
The first, PayPal All-in-One Payment Solutions, is a secure bundled payment method with several PCI-compliant solutions:

Payments Advanced (Includes Express Checkout) – with no further redirection from the store, it provides customers with a more secured and customized checkout.

Payments Pro (Includes Express Checkout) – Enable your personal PayPal merchant account with this option to have a fully configurable gateway that lets customers pay without abandoning your store.

Payments Standard allows you to make debit/credit card and standard PayPal payments.
If you are willing to have all-in-one solutions for your store with a trusted payment gateway, you can opt for this method. There is no further need to have other payment options.
The second, PayPal Payment Gateways allows you to process payments with the help of personal internet merchant accounts with two options:

Payflow Pro (Includes Express Checkout) – Let your customers pay directly to your store by connecting your individual merchant account with a fully configurable gateway.

Payflow Link (Includes Express Checkout) – Allow customers to pay without leaving your site and that too by attaching your merchant account to a PCI-compliant gateway.
These two options allow you to pay through PayPal processes and do not support debit/credit cards. Hence, We have the third option, which is PayPal Express Checkout.
This third method will allow you to add one more payment method to your existing solutions or can be used as a self-contained option. You can use it with PayPal or other payment methods too!
PayPal payment options configuration in Magento 2¶
For PayPal configuration, Navigate and follow this path.
Open the admin panel of your store → Stores → Configuration → option, expand the “Sales” section and click the “Payment Methods” button.
Have your account in the PayPal system before setting up your business account. You need to fee in the personal account info to connect it with your business account. It helps you to secure your PayPal account.
If you don’t have a PayPal account, there are links in the admin panel that guides you with creating one. Other settings and configurations may depend. For instance, set the credit card types or define the list of countries to support your store. All these settings are straightforward to have.
