Promotions¶

The Promotions section is a Magento eCommerce marketing tool that allows you to create catalog and pricing rules that automatically apply discounts when certain criteria are met.

The setup is similarly separated into two sections:

Catalog Pricing Rules¶

Here, you'll leverage the attribute sets in your catalog to create criteria and rules that will trigger the deployment of discounts as part of your digital marketing campaigns. The setup may serve as a reminder of how to construct a statement.

Example

If...ALL...of these conditions are...TRUE:
Product Attribute
SALE...IS…(ATTRIBUTE)

Cart Pricing Rules¶

Any section which is a child of the store's root is utilized to create circumstances and rules that will trigger the implementation of discounts. These rules make use of either characteristics or a combination of attributes.

Example
