A store admin can amend the products in existing orders through the Admin panel as soon as the shopping cart is transformed into complete order. Navigate to Sales -> Select “Orders”. Here, you can find the orders to modify it. On the other side, you can also amend the order from customer details. Navigate to Customers → All Customers. Find the specific customer and edit his order.

Moreover, you can also configure the shopping cart to have a follow-up on the abandoned orders. It allows you to save the products in Shopping Cart when a customer leaves the store. To do this, go to Stores → Configuration, expand Customer Tab, and click on the “Persistent Shopping Cart” option.

To enable/disable this option, toggle the “Enable Persistence” option. You can also have the “Persistence Lifetime” in seconds. To allow customers to avoid logins by keeping the accounts active, use the “Enable Remember Me” and “Remember Me Default Value”.

If you want to save the shopping cart items for a specific time or empty them as the customer signs out, you can use the “Persistent Shopping Cart" option.
